This schedule of activities is a generic 50 minute classroom of how my classroom would be structured during every period.

• Independent or group warm up while teacher takes attendance: 5 minutes

• Teacher-directed review of previous concepts: 3 minutes

• Teacher-directed introduction of new concepts and preview advanced organizer for the day: 10 minutes

• Teacher-directed guided practice, working on assignment: 8 minutes

• Independent work or cooperative tasks (depending on task): 20 minutes 

• Teacher-directed corrections and guided practice to help students identify errors or misunderstandings, as well as review advanced organizer for the day: 4 minutes
